The Desert Fox Strikes at Gazala

The Gazala Line was a fortified position with minefields in front of it and Tobruk behind it. Rommel went around the end of it.

May 1942, and you take the Axis or the Eighth Army.

This is operational scale, so you are moving divisions rather than tanks. The Axis player wins on speed and concentration, getting armour through or around before the British can react to where it went. The Allied player has the fortifications, the minefields and the numbers, and has to use them to slow the thing down long enough to counterattack somewhere that matters.

Open Ground Cuts Both Ways

The desert lets you swing wide and appear somewhere nobody expected. It also lets your opponent do that, and there is very little on the map to stop either of you.

Supply Decides How Far You Get

A breakthrough is only worth what you can feed. Movement, supply and timing carry as much weight as the fighting, and an armoured division out past its supply is a problem rather than a threat.

Evelyn H. ★★★★★

The map's minefields and Tobruk siege really make you feel the desperation of the desert war. Those chit pulls keep you guessing which unit can move next.

Lily E. ★★★★★

The chit-pull activation system adds a perfect layer of tension—you never know exactly when your key units will get to move. Setup was faster than I expected for a wargame this detailed, and the map really makes the desert terrain feel harsh and open. Already planning my next campaign as the British

Abigail I. ★★★★★

The map covers the whole Gazala Line and the minefield belt really makes you think before you move. Playing as Rommel and swinging around the southern end of the line is tense the whole way. Solo scenarios are included too, which I wasn't expecting.
