Lock 'n Load Tactical: Heroes Against the Red Star

The combat system has real depth with the way units react differently depending on whether they're NATO or Warsaw Pact forces. I've played three scenarios already and each one feels like a tense historical puzzle.

I was really impressed with how well the rulebook explains the NATO defensive tactics—it made setting up my first game smooth even for a newer player. The tension of trying to hold the line as the West feels historically grounded and keeps each turn engaging.

The scenarios feel pulled straight from a Cold War briefing, and playing as NATO scrambling to hold the inner German border is tense in the best way. Took a full evening to sort the counters, but the rulebook walks you through armor and infantry firefights without much flipping back and forth.
