Lock 'n Load Tactical: Heroes of North Africa companion book

The detailed campaign maps really help visualize the back-and-forth nature of the desert fighting. The companion book adds just the right amount of historical context without overwhelming the game rules.

The historical notes on the back-and-forth desert campaigns add real weight to each scenario, making the retreats and counterattacks feel purposeful rather than random. It’s a solid companion that fills in the gaps the maps alone can’t show.

I’ve played three scenarios so far and the historical notes really bring the back-and-forth nature of the desert war to life. The map’s terrain details make each battle feel distinct.
