I was a bit worried about the learning curve, but the mission generator creates such varied scenarios that I’ve already run through five campaigns without boredom.

The rulebook’s solo mechanics are incredibly immersive — I spent hours just tracking my pilot’s fate through each mission. The damage and morale systems really make you feel every close call. It’s exactly the tense, personal war story I was hoping for.

The campaign carries your pilot all the way to the end, and losing him actually stings. Rulebook lays out the solo missions clearly enough that I was flying my first sortie within an hour.
