World At War 85: Storming the Gap Companion

The rulebook and scenario booklet are laid out in a very logical way, making it easy to jump into the Cold War setting. My first game with the new scenarios felt tense and authentic, exactly what I wanted from a supplement.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the included reference sheets speed up gameplay—no more flipping through the rulebook mid-turn. The map art is crisp and really sets the Cold War tension.

The scenario book alone is worth it—each mission lays out the Warsaw Pact push with such specific historical detail that I spent an hour just reading before we ever set up counters. My usual wargaming buddy and I played through the first two scenarios in one sitting and immediately wanted more.
